Description
Until some years ago, Japan was a volleyball powerhouse countries that won gold medals at the Olympic Games. In Japan, two types of volleyballs are used for official matches, one Mikasa Corporation and the other Molten Corporation, and are used in alteration annually. This study aims to research the effect of official-match ball of volleyball on competition skills of university students. As a result of this study, experienced university students found it easy to use a ball of Molten Corporation rather than that of Mikasa Corporation. Receivers and setters rather than attackers were more likely to use a ball of Molten Corporation. Also, university students had strong desires for official-match balls to be identified.
