日本における漢字の使われ方は近来のテレビやパソコンの普及に伴って,大いなる変貌を遂げた。それらのメディアは伝統文化を遠ざけ,新たに渡来する西欧文化を迎合した。漢字もその傾向につれて,使用文字数が減っていき,それは新聞等の媒体の漢字に顕著に表れている。小・中・高校では2134字の常用漢字の学習を行うが,それだけでは平安時代から明治時代における古典を学ぶには不足である。それらの古典には日本人の古き良き精神が宿っている。このような問題を補うために表外漢字やJIS漢字がある。しかし,漢字に対する全体的な世の中の知識がもはや変化してしまっている。筆者は,このような流れに危惧感を抱き,漢字教育や一般的な漢字の使われ方について警告を発するものである。

The use of Chinese character in Japan much too transfigured with the advance of the spread to the development of television and personal computer. Those media kept away from the culture of Japanese tradition and accepted western culture that newly flowed in Japan.The quantity of the Chinese character in Japan became less depending on those situations.Those clearly appeared in the quantity of Chinese character on news paper.In primary school,junior high school and high school they learn 2134 characters as Chinese characters designated for daily use.But that is not enough for learning the classic from Heian period to Meiji period.Those classic includes the old and wonderful spirits.The Chinese characters of out table other than Chinese characters designated for daily use and the Chinese characters of JIS exist to compensate for a shortage.But the general flow of Japan society already too much change to western culture.I feel misgivings about those use and education of Chinese character,warn against those flow.
