The objective of this paper is to analyze the results of counseling training for social workers, considering an ideal method of counseling training and evaluation. In this counseling training, I planned to communicate with participants and not to lecture one-sidedly during the counseling training. I used many role-plays, because I thought that participants can learn counseling experientially, improve their communication skills. After training, as for the evaluation of counseling training, more than 90% of participants answered that it is important. As for the usefulness of counseling training, about 80% of participants answered that it was useful for future work. In addition, in free description, many participants said that the procedure of training was appropriate and the training contents were easy to understand, and learning was a pleasurable. They judged the counseling training based on pleasure of learning and ease to understand. It is important for it to be a pleasurable, and to be easy to understand for the participants in counseling training. I think that pleasure and ease to understand for participants in counseling training lead to further self-study, and self-study leads to good services for clients.
