Microscale experiment is one of the most useful tools for school science. There are many advantages in microscale experiments: easy, safe, fast and environmentally friendly. In order to promote the investigation on microscale experiments, we must not only develop the microscale teaching materials or revise them, but also perform the practical lessons using microscale equipments. The practical lessons on microscale experiments of various cells (i. e. Volta, Deniel, and hydrogen-oxygen fuel cells, and storage battery), detonating gas, volume decreases with mixing ethanol and water, and Le Chatelier's law) were given to senior high school students at Kobe College four times in the academic year 2009. All students that took these lessons performed experiments steadily, finished them completely, and understood them sufficiently. The questionnaires on these practical lessons suggested that many students admired microscale experiments. Therefore, it has been found that our lessons on microscale experiments are exceedingly useful for high school chemical education.
