児童養護施設における就学支援の現状・課題・ニーズについて,児童養護施設職員,社会的養護当事者,児童養護施設児童の学習に関わる支援者への聞き取り調査を通して検討した。その結果,児童養護施設入所以前からの子どもの状況の厳しさと支援の難しさ,児童養護施設が抱える構造的な問題,大学等への進学に関わる経済的な問題,施設退所後の困難,大学進学のメリットの低下と経済的な自立,などの課題が明らかになり,児童養護施設におけるケアの個別化,学習支援の拡充と個別化,学習の定着力が弱い子どもへの支援アプローチの開発,施設退所後のアフターフォローの充実,といったニーズが明らかになった。
This paper presents the empirical investigation about current learning supports and services to the children who live in child nursing homes. Semi-structured interviews have been used to investigate children's needs and suffering in learning and education. The survey respondents were child nursing home's staffs, learning supporters to those children, and a person who had residential care as a child. As a result, the following needs and difficulties were identified. 1) The nurture received should match the individuality of the child as much as possible. 2) Financial supports must be increased for children to go to universities. 3) Supports of learning according to the individuality of the children are needed. 4) New approaches of learning must be developed for children with special educational needs. 5) We must support child's life after going out of facilities.
