Abstract

Regardless of the type of intracerebral blood vessel, the vessel walls are completely surrounded by astrocytic processes, which form the so-called perivascular glial limiting membrane (Glm). However, the question of whether some morphological correlation exists between the blood vessel type and the Glm still remains unknown. The author addressed to this question. Finally, from a viewpoint of tissue architecture of the brain and phylogeny was described why the author became interested in the Glm.
