Abstract
It is reported that the rise of water temperature progressing with global warming has exerted a large influence on geographical dostribution and community structures in fishes. Fishes occurring at "present", "ten years ago ", and "fifty years ago" at the Chikuzen Sea, northern coast of Kyushu, Japan, were compared and it was found that only half of fish species were common between each of these ages. Futhermore, it was noted that the propotion of fish species, which were distributed in the subtropical and the tropical seas increased during these years. The coastal water temperature in the area has risen ar 0.1℃ annually since 1980 and it was thought that this is the season for recent changes in fish faura at the Chikuzen sea.
