Description

In this thesis, we consider the titles of books quoted “Takahyakushu’ and “Koyoki' written by Konoe Sakihisa, who had authority of the culture of falconry from Sengoku era to the beginning of Edo era, during these eras falconry was very popular and a lot of Takasho were written. We also characterize the Takasho inherited by Sakihisa and explore the discourse of falconry from the latter period of Muromachi era to the beginning of Edo era. The book often quoted in “Takahyakushu,” which was written for Toyotomi Hideyoshi and Tokugawa Ieyasu, is “Shobokusho.” This is not a Takasho, but a Bukekojitsusho by Hosokawa Takakuni, and is very important as the main stream of that period. On the other hand, “Jimyoinsaishodonokyuki” is quoted in “Koyoki.” “Jimyoinsaishodonokyuki” is the book inheriting the discourse of Saionji-ke whose family business is falconry.
