抄録

A finite element model is developed for the lateral response analysis and the dynamic stability analysis of a finite beam subjected to a moving mass load and a continuous sequence of moving mass loads, traveling at a constant speed across the beam. The effects of moving mass inertia and suppoting methods of the beam on the lateral response and the dynamic stability are easily studied by finite element method and modal analysis. The effect of mass loads plays an important role in the lateral response and the dynamic stability of a beam. The results obtained show excellent agreement with those obtained by experiment and other analytical method.
