Description

Recently, concentric ring electrodes have been practically used to determine moisture contents by measuring dielectric constants but there is no formula which gives their capacity. This paper presents empirical formula induced by converting the resistance between two electrodes measured in water by A. C bridge method into capacity. The capacity is proportional to R_2 (1+0.1(R_1/R_2) log_<10>((R_2+R_1)/(R_2-R_1)), where R_2 is the inner radius of the outer electrode, R_1 the radius of inner electrode.
