The thread rolling time and the tangential force varied with feed conditions of the moving dies. In practice it is useful for some purposes that we would try to discover optimum conditions for the rolling time and the feed. Lately some investigaters reported for the thread rolling but they did not analytically clarified these points. The author induced some theoritical formulas and tried some experiments and verified that analytical results nearly coincided with experimental results.

ねぢ転造に於ける理論的又は実験的な研究は，山本，井上，或はApel等によって提唱されているが，ダイス送り速度が，転造時間や接線抵抗に及ぼす影響についての理論的解明は未だ明確ではない。筆者は油圧式ねぢ転造盤についてこの点を理論的に解析し，上述の各式の理論式とを比較検査し，更らに実験によってその結果を確めようと試みた。叉接線担抗については，抵抗力は素材の理性変形に基づく抵抗力と，一般のねぢの嵌合による摩擦力との総和であることを前提として数式を立て，各回転毎の抵抗力の変化の状況を求めた。
