Description

I have put together instructions to help people learn about the metal carving techniques which have been carried on in Takaoka for 400 years. The instructions include the history, various chisels, inlay techniques, and working processes. I hope they will inspire young students or succeeding generations of traditional craftsmen, and contribute to the development of the metal carving in Takaoka. I also reported on some of the works done by students of Takaoka National College that have motivated the craft industry.
