This paper explores how the Oxford Union and other debating societies can help students become future leaders. In order to utilize ethnographic approaches, the author belonged to the target communities at the University of Oxford, in which the learners make tremendous efforts to improve their debating skills. The data were collected by means of interviews and recordings during debate workshops sessions, and then analyzed qualitatively. The results indicate that students were able to gain enormous learning opportunities for communication strategies that aid the development of leadership skills through participation in outstanding debate events and meaningful workshops.
