Description

The boundary layer equations for laminar forced-convection condensation of pure vapors are numerically solved for water, ethanol, ethyene glycol and propane under the assumption that only the viscosity in the condensate film depends on temperature. The numerical results reviel that the representative viscosity in the authors' previous equations for the heat transfer coefficient and the condensation mass flux can be evaluated at T_r=T_w+1/3・(T_s-T_w), where T_w is the temperature at the wall and T_s is saturation temperature.
