Abstract

This writing considers the process that men who participate in the community work constructed under the fundamental law takes the housework share and this also aims to seek for a guide to realize the gender-equal society. Under the same law, the change of the relationship between man and woman as to each life space is demanded. Especially man's domestic housework sharing comes to be an important problem. So one of the policies is a participation in the community work. From the research until now, I have found that some have changed the domestic housework share affected by the activity, others have understood the necessity of change but can't carry it out. I thought that there would be other factor than the activity. So I extended the role of analysis to the life history including the activity process primly by participation, and I tried to specify the factor that changed the role structure. As a method, first I sent out questionnaires and interviewed to those who participated to the activity then I analyzed the socialization process with these results and a career analysis. As a characteristic of men who take housework, I have solved that before they participate in the community work, they conflict with their family at home. It would be possible to contribute to the progresses of the politic in the future.
