Abstract

The present study reports the process of the understanding the inner experience by using Rorschach test and the application of Dohsa-hou for patient with depression. Patient with depression have physical symptoms such as sleep and appetite irregularities and mental symptoms such as suicidal ideation and decrease in desires. In addition it is difficult to live with the diagnosis of Depression, moreover the stigmatization of people in the society. The present study reports on the possibility of helping depressed patients through the application of Dohsa-hou. Both patients A and B have difficulty in concentrating on their own body, however, patient B also concentrated on acting in line with the whole group. The aim of the present study is to allow A and B to be able to concentrate on their body sensations and also for B to cope with the Dohsa task together with her therapist. As a result, the application of Dohsa-hou for the patient with depression seemed to be effective. Moreover, a more continuous approach to the application of Dohsa-hou to the daily life should be considered.
