Due to the spread of the Internet, the problem of “post-truth" is no longer limited to persons directly involved in making political decisions. This paper examines art nexus, which is an anthropological approach with a qualitative point of view used to clarify cultural practices and their mutual actions that form new truths and realities. Next, the characteristics of art nexus are explained by focusing on symbolic action through abductive reasoning and the significance of such symbolic actions are presented. By showing an example of the use of art nexus, it is argued that the process of formation of the reality of the world can be approached in which non-existent persons “such as gods" act on people. Then, relying on Schutz's phenomenology, it is explained that the formation of reality approached by art nexus is a process by which an experience is given meaning through knowledge, and this knowledge is made conscious as a living reality by the experience. Also presented are criteria for the empirical use of art nexus as suggested in the discussion.
