Description

In the short story "Capture" (2002), written by Kim Scott, one of the most prestigious Australian writers having Indigenous descents, a married couple of white scientists capture a mysterious animal seeming an identified ape. The possibility that the creature is human is strongly implied, and it strikes back to the couple. When it is beaten down in the dirt, the couple visualize their own partner instead of the unconscious creature. This fantastic scene suggests the existence of white people rooting in the land of Australia, although they originally came from the outside of the continent.
