Abstract

How has white-collar in Japanese industrial sociology been studied from after World War II period to the present? The analysis of the trends revealed that despite the increase in white-collar in Japan, it became clear that their interest was lowering and research was decreasing year by year. On the other hand, the International Sociological Association and the French Sociological Association have done many interdisciplinary and substantial researches on a study of white-collar work, labor, and organizations, which highlighted that white-collar research in contemporary Japanese industrial sociology is weakening.
