The personality of a serial arsonist (high-school student, 16 years of age, IQ=96) was assessed by Rorschach test. Findings, scored by the Kataguchi-Klopfer method, were : (1) TR=17, P=4 (P%=23.5), Rejection=0, Failure=0, Repetition=4; (2) TT=12'12", IntRT. ave=16"; (3) W:D=10:6, W%=58.8, (D+d)%=35.3, Dd%=0, S%=5.9 (S=1+0.5×2); (3) M:SumC=3.0:2.5, (VIII+IX+X)%=29.4; (4) F%=58.8, SumF%=82.4, F+%=90.0, SumF+%=85.7; (5) M:FM=3.0:0.0, M:(FM+m)=3.0:1.5, FM=0, m=0.5×3=1.5, FC:(CF+C)=1.0:2.0, (FK+Fc):F=0.0:10.0; (6) H%=29.4, A%=35.3%, (H+A):(Hd+Ad)=6.0:5.0, (H+Hd):(A+Ad)=5.0:6.0, CR=6(3), Fire=2, Cl(Expl)=1; (7) mod. BRS=-22. These results were interpreted to indicate the following traits : primitive aggression, accumulated hostility, weakness of ego-control, obsessive and compulsive tendency, poor sociability and retarded human interactions. Presumably such a deviated personality was closely related to his anti-social behavior.
