医師,弁護士,大学教授,カウンセラー,社会福祉士など様々な「専門職」という分野で現在,「reflection(省察)」が重要視されている。ドナルド・ショーンはこの「reflection」に注目し「reflective practitioner(反省的実践家)」という専門家像を提示し,日本でも教育学の分野を中心に多く使われてきている用語である。またスポーツコーチも一種の教師であると認識されている。コーチ学の分野においても「reflection」は顕著に評価されており,教育者としてのスポーツコーチが求められている。そこで本研究では,Taniaほか(2004)著の”UNDERSTANDING SPORTS COACHING”を基本文献として,指導者に求められるリフレクションの意味,概念を明らかにすると共に,「反省的実践家としてのスポーツコーチ」(Reflective Coach)像を検討することを目的とする。特に本稿では,その前段階の鍵概念とも言える「reflection(省察)」について考究する。|A technical term : ”Reflective Practitioner” in a field of education has lately attracted considerable attention in a field of coach education. The purpose of this study is to examine the meaning of reflection and the ideal method of the sport coach as a Reflective Practitioner. Especially, the present study is to examine the meaning of technical terms : ”reflection”, ”Reflective Practitioner” in a field of education. The finding and discussions on the following topics are presented in this paper : 1. Background and definition of ”reflection” 2. John Dewey's way of thinking 3. Donald Schön's way of thinking (1) knowing in action (2) reflection in action (3) conversation with situation (4) reflection-on-action 4. A model of the experience learning of D.A Kolb 5. A model of the double-loop learning
