感覚運動を中心に,あたま・からだ・こころを育てるムーブメント教育・療法は,特別支援教育はもちろん,学校体育においても取り入れられる内容である。日本でのムーブメント教育・療法も30年を過ぎ,その歩みをまとめた。そして,これから注目されるであろう,特別支援教育での自立活動と体育での活用法について検討した。

The movement education and treatment to develop the head, the body and the heart by sensorimotor skills are the knowledge by Marianne Frostig, American famous perceptionmovement leaning theoretician, in 1970. The movement education and the movement treatment in Japan started by the approach for serious duplication handicapped children, and the original movement education and the treatment are developed by Dr. Yoshifumi Kobayashi and others. At present, we have the baby-movement for babies and infants, senior-movement as a new rehabilitation for older people, dance-movement, swimming-movement and so forth. The content is wide, and the movement accepted all generations and it doesn't matter whether they have handicap or not. This movement is developed as an effort to achieve all people's good health and happiness. In the revise of the course of study, the movement activity can be introduced because of the new division as an independence activity “the formation of human relations" and “the activity to make various movement" in the physical education. The movement education and the movement treatment are the notable approaches in the various educational activities hereafter.
