本研究は,大学野球選手を対象に,体幹機能が投球動作にどのような影響を及ぼしているのか検討することを目的とした。その結果,遠投上位群は,身長,体重,胸囲,体組成項目全ての筋肉量,メディシンボール投げ,背筋力において有意に高い値を示し,腹筋・背筋バランス上位群は,コントロールにおいて下位群よりも有意に高い値を示した。 以上より,優れた投球動作には下肢で生まれた力を上肢に伝達するための体幹の動きが重要であることが示唆され,強く速いボールを投げるためには腹筋・背筋の筋力が重要となるが,正確なボールを投げるためには,腹筋と背筋をバランス良く鍛えることが重要であると示唆された。

The purpose of this study was conducted on university baseball players to see how functions of their body trunk affect their pitching motions. As a result, a superior group of players who could throw a ball farther showed a higher level of the muscle bulk in all parts of a body composition such as height, weight, and chest, a longer distance to throw a medicine ball, and a stronger muscle of their back than the subordinate group. A superior group of players who had well balanced abdominal and back muscles showed a higher level of control than the subordinate group. In conclusion, it was suggested that a movement of the body trunk which transmitted strength from lower extremity to upper extremity is important for excellent pitching motions. Also, even though the muscle strength of abdominal and back muscles is important to throw a ball farther and faster, it is suggested that it is important to develop the abdominal and back muscles in a proper valance to throw a ball accurately.
