Description

An exploration for Akebia in Gunma and Yamagata prefectures was conducted from September 24th to 26th and from September 31th to October 2nd, 1998. A total of 63 samples were collected from forest and farms. Farmers chose the superior varieties from wild Akebia and cultivate them. We collected a sample which had tolerance to powdery mildew that is an important blight of the Akebia.
