Abstract
<p>This article is concerned about the process for sustainable community development through public-academic-private partnerships based on "Placemaking. Through a series of lectures and simultaneous practices, the government, the academia, and the local citizens were able to build a responsible cooperative relationship. As a result, the workshop participants with a strong sense of curiosity and initiative were able to continue the multiple operation and management organization of the citizens' groups “Shimotsuma San-Kou” and the heart of community “Cafemaru cafe & studio”.</p>
