Description
<p>Larvae of dipteran species were discovered in cigarette ends containing moisture in Okayama City, Japan and were reared in a room at 15-20°C. Adults of 5 species emerged and were identified as Coboldia fuscipes (Meigen) (Family Scatopsidae); Desmometopa varipalpis Malloch (Family Milichiidae); Fannia prisca Stein (Family Fanniidae); F. pusio (Wiedemann); and Atherigona orientalis Schiner (Family Muscidae).</p>
