This paper reports on the pottery materials excavated from the Shimokusuda shell mound located in Shimokusuda, Miyama City, Fukuoka Prefecture, among the Gyokusen-kan Collection in the Kyushu University Museum. Based on the archaeological information clarified from the pottery materials, this paper considers the period of people’s activities in the Shimokusuda shell mound and livelihood activities there, focusing on the relationship with climate change in the Jomon period.
