<p>The purpose of this paper is to clarify the store The purpose of this paper is to clarify the store composition and attitudes toward community development in the shopping street in the Toyohashi city center, using a cross-section analysis and questionnaire survey. We found that there is a mix of old and new stores in the shopping streets. Although many store owners have a good impression of and attachment to the shopping street regardless of when it opened, new store owners feel that they have no place in the shopping street compared to old store owners, and although they are highly interested in community development activities, they have not been able to participate in them.</p>
