Abstract

<p>Introduction: We report a simple, inexpensive, and excellent novel method for surgical hemostasis in epidural bleeding.</p><p>Technical note: An AbiteneR sheet type (0.8 g) was mixed with 1 bottle of thrombin solution (5,000 units) and 10 ml of saline, and the mixed solution was prepared by lightly stirring and filled in a syringe with a 14 G intravenous catheter and sprayed on the bleeding site. If you put surgical cotton on it and suck it, you can stop the bleeding quickly and easily without pressure.</p><p>Conclusions: This method has the same excellent hemostatic properties as the SurgifloR, however, it is significantly cheaper.</p>
