Abstract

<p>Epoxy resins have excellent adhesiveness, mechanical strength, electrical insulation, heat resistance, chemical resistance, moisture resistance, and dimensional stability, and are therefore used in various applications. For paint, electrical and electronic applications, civil engineering and construction applications, and for composite materials. Epoxy resins used as raw materials are of various types, and desired physical properties can be designed by combining hardeners, catalysts, fillers, and the like. This article introduces the basics of epoxy resins as well as epoxy resins for paints.</p>
