Description
Since 2018, we have been conducting active learning-style classes for 4th year medical students, combining lectures and practical training to learn team skills for patient safety. In 2020, the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic forced us to switch to online programs. In addition to online lectures, we set up assignments to learn multidisciplinary collaboration in the hospital by incorporating the perspective of the Patient Journey, especially in hospital patient journey, and student you work on it as groups. In addition, we asked to set up medical safety events that could occur in relation to medical care for each group, created a scenario to prevent the occurrence of medical accidents in multiple occupations by utilizing team skills. This report is an example of pre-graduate medical safety education efforts related to patient-centeredness and multidisciplinary communication skills in the limited online environment.
