Description

<p>Local governments in the Chikugo district of Fukuoka Prefecture have been working on collective collection and resource recycling through wide-area collection from early on, but in order to improve sorting behavior, it is necessary to visualize recycling, and to realize high-quality plastic material recycle. This report is the result of the residents' questionnaire of the five local governments conducted in 2021. Sorting behavior and remanufactured plastic product purchasing behavior have a significant attitude toward the regional circulation of plastics, along with awareness of plastic environmental issues and regional awareness. We think that the improvement of citizens' sorting behavior will be achieved by establishing social conditions of these behaviors, enlightenment activities, and by rooting in the community and realizing recycling that can be felt in daily life through the regional circulation of plastics.
