Description

In mobile ad-hoc networks (MANETs), network resources such as frequency spectrum are limited. Therefore, efficient use of these resources is required in MANETs broadcast communication. Network coding is a promising technique to reduce unnecessary packets and network resources. The packet reduction efficiency in network coding depends on the network topology. In this paper, we propose a broadcast method. Our proposed reduces the number of packets transmitted without degrading the packet delivery rate. To investigate the performance of our proposed method, we compare it against other three methods. Our simulation results show that our proposed method outperforms existing protocols from the standpoints of packet delivery efficiency.
