抄録

<p>This study specifically reconstructed and discussed how Meiji-era Kakemise (stalls) on Asakusa Nakamise Street were rebuilt as Renga Nakamise (brick buildings), and what types of store spaces these were until they were destroyed in the Great Kanto Earthquake. In particular, it clarified what was transmitted from Kakemise to Renga Nakamise, the sizes of Renga Nakamise, and differences between the construction plans and actual buildings. As modern public facilities, Renga Nakamise should have equalized disparities among Kakemise (traditional commercial spaces in the early modern period).</p><p>However, this study reveals that new disparities were produced at Renga Nakamise.</p>
