Description

For Sanrihama coast in Fukui Prefecture, the offshore-breakwater is being constructed in order to protect sandy beach coast from beach erosion. The shoreline shape greatly changes on the sandy beach where offshore-breawter was construted. In the opening of offshore-breakwater, the particle size of beach sediment increases. and sorting becomes also bad. It was possible to estimate nearshore currents from change of longshore distribution of the beach sediment in the coast direction.
