A questionnaire survey was performed on junior college students (n=558) and seniors (n=80) for who attend citizen's college to clarify the relationship between the dietary supplement use and the eating behaviors. The 40.1% of students claimed to use the dietary supplement, while the 52.5% of seniors did. The ratio of female supplement users was higher than that of male users in each group. The most frequently used supplement was vitamin C among both groups. Scondly used one was iron among the students, while vitamin E and calcium among the seniors. The purpose of supplement use is to supply nutrients, keeping their health and beauty. The seniors have much more healhy eating habits with many kinds of foods than the students. Furthemore, we can see, in both groups, suplement users have more healty eating havits than the non-users. These results suggest that the dietary supplement users have better eating behaviors and people use supplement to keep health.
