Abstract

<p>Three new species, Nothrus meakanensis spec. nov., N. ezoensis spec. nov. and N. ashoroensis spec. nov. were found from natural forests of Picea glehnii at Mo-Ashoro (Mt. Meakan) in eastern Hokkaido of the northernmost Japan; N. taisetsuensis spec. nov. from a natural mixed forest consisting of coniferous and broad-leaved trees of Kumoigahara (Mt. Asahi) in central Hokkaido; N. ishikariensis spec. nov. from a tide-water control broad-leaved forest of Ishikari sea shore in western Hokkaido; N. akitaensis spec. nov. from mosses on a grave-stone at Akita City in the northern main Island in Japan; N. sadoensis spec. nov. and N. hatanoensis spec. nov. from litter of two forests of coniferous and broad-leaved trees in Sado Island. The specimens of N. meakanensis spec. nov. and those of N. taisetsuensis spec. nov. were misidentified previously with N. silvestris NICOLET, 1855, and N. ezoensis spec. nov. with N. biciliatus C. L. KOCH, 1841 (FUJIKAWA, 1972b).</p>
