Abstract

Biomass gas produced from wood is composed of hydrogen, carbon monoxide, methane, etc. The composition of the gas varies greatly depending on various conditions during the gas production process. Therefore, when applied to a gas engine, the engine performance is expected to change significantly. In this study, a numerical simulation of a gas engine assuming the actual gas composition of woody biomass gas was conducted, and the effect of the change in gas composition on the engine performance was analyzed in detail.
