Abstract

<p>Totsukawa Village is a mountain village located on the periphery of an advanced forestry area. The purpose of this study is to trace the development of the region from the late Edo Period to the Showa Period, and to clarify the characteristics of the village, mainly using the historical documents of Musashi community and the land registry maps in Totsukawa Region.</p>
