Description

The purpose of this paper is to make use of documents and policies at that time, as well as interviews with people engaged in fresh food distribution and consumers who have bought fresh food, and investigate the changes from 1978 (the reform and opening-up) to 2011 (before the formal development of fresh food EC) . The fresh food distribution system in the economic environment, legal system and policy, participants and consumer purchasing behavior, and other stage changes. This paper aims to examine the gradual changes in the economic environment, legal systems and policies, actors, and consumer purchasing behaviors related to the fresh food distribution system from a general historical perspective. Because few papers were capturing dynamic changes in traditional research, it's considered to be of research significance. Taking fresh food as the research object, along with the exploration of the actual situation of changes in the distribution system, the characteristics of each stage of China's fresh food retail format, the existing problems, and the opportunities and constraints for the development of the Fresh food EC industry are analyzed.
