Abstract

In this paper, an education system for elementary and junior high school students to design analog LSI is proposed, and an analog LSI design course conducted using the education system is reported. In the proposed course, a CMOS OP-amp is designed by connecting prepared circuit blocks. The designed CMOS OP-amp is fabricated by phenitec 0.6 µm CMOS process, and connected to an external circuit for using as an audio amplifier. The students will understand the characteristics of the circuit based on the difference in sound. The students can design, simulate and layout CMOS operational amplifier in three hours, and evaluate the circuit in 30 minutes.
