Abstract
<p>Fairy Devices is engaged in research in the field of speech and language processing with a vision of creating a device that makes people feel as if a fairy is inside. On the basis of our research, we offer a technology stack for implementing spoken dialogue systems, from microphone hardware to software on edge devices to web APIs. Capturing the information incorporated in speech is essential to realize smooth spoken dialogues between humans and machines. In this paper, we introduce our research activities on various speech processing technologies from the practical viewpoint, including automatic speech recognition, speaker recognition, emotion recognition, paralinguistic attitude recognition, turn-taking prediction, and wake word detection.</p>
