Abstract
<p>Previous studies have suggested the effectiveness of bamboo cushioning frame for the development of furniture that contributes to indoor disaster prevention. In order to improve the functionality of this furniture, in the previous report, we conducted a preliminary experiment on a woven structure panel made of bamboo and split leather and confirmed its applicability to furniture parts. In this report, we reexamined the combination of materials, weaving methods, and material widths; conducted experiments on 12 types of samples and grasped the characteristics of strength and deformation. Based on the results, we designed and made a prototype of storage furniture with a bamboo cushioning frame, which has a low center of gravity and elasticity, and a woven structure panel made of bamboo and split leather.</p>
