The English Resource Center (ERC) was established in 2009 in order to accommodate the students needs to have a focal point of learning English in Obihiro University. During the COVID-19 pandemic time, it was forced to close for three years. When the restriction was lifted, the ERC reopened in the Spring term of 2023. English lunchtime chats and borrowing English books, which were offered from before the pandemic, restarted, and the students began to come back. However, the ERC needs some modifications, such as English writing support, other language resources and study abroad programs, in order to support the students' evolving demands and requirements.
