Abstract

In this study, the recovery effect of flexural performance of reinforced concrete(RC)beams by crack injection repair using ultra-low viscosity epoxy resin was verified by flexural loading test of RC beam specimens with a scale of about 1/3 of the actual scale. Furthermore, the tensile behavior of rebars embedded in repaired concrete was investigated by axially-loaded tension tests. As a result of the flexural loading tests, it was confirmed that the flexural performance of the RC beams, of which the tensile rebars had yielded at the time of repair, could be recovered to the same level as undamaged RC beams by this repairing method. From the axially-loaded tension tests, it was observed that a new tensile crack was generated in the concrete at a position different from that generated at the initial loading due to the crack injection repair, and the rebar yield propagated from that crack.
