Abstract

Dens invaginatus is a condition in which tooth-like structures are embedded in the pulp. The majority of cases occur in maxillary lateral incisors, and it is extremely rare to occur in upper and lower molars. This time, we accidentally experienced a case of a maxillary third molar with dens invaginatus on panoramic radiographs and CT. Since the maxillary third molar often overlaps the maxillary sinus on panoramic radiographs and is difficult to see, a CT is effective.
