Description
The purpose of this paper is to classify quantitative research of subject pedagogy and to derive some suggestions when conducting quantitative research in subject pedagogy. We classified quantitative research in subject pedagogy as follows, 1) developing evaluation methods, 2) investigating the actual conditions of children or teachers 3) investigating effects of teaching methods, 4) integrating previous research results. We derived that avoiding dichotomous decisions, being aware of assumptions in null hypothesis testing, reflecting on whether it is questionable research practices (QRPs) for points to keep in mind when conducting quantitative research.
