Description

This paper clarified the following points: First, this paper examines cases in which “connections” with external resources have been promoted through community-school collaborative activities, and considers various “connections” related to the educational curriculum from five perspectives: (1)“connections” between subjects and areas, (2)“connections” between grades and school levels, (3)“connections” within and outside the educational curriculum, (4)“connections” between PDCA cycles, and (5)“connections” within and outside the school organization. As a result, it became clear that there is a need for improvement measures to bridge the gap between supervisors and classroom practitioners, such as improving the use of curriculum management tables, and to ensure the involvement of educational administration so that efforts do not end up being merely “personal.” We also pointed out the role and functions of the joint school management council. Second, we examined the characteristics and challenges of cooperation and collaboration seen in the “connections between school education and social education from both the scope of social education and region. Focusing on institutionalism and functionalism, we pointed out the issues that arise from the differences in responsible departments, etc., and the need to clarify the positioning of “hometowns, ” such as whether to place more importance on the unique history of the “community/region” or on the “community/region” defined by current administrative districts.
