Description

We report three cases of oral and pharyngeal trauma in children and adults due to frequent use of toothbrushes in daily life, with a review of the literature. Two children, a 2-year-old boy and a 2-year-old girl, fell down while brushing their teeth and were prescribed antibacterial drugs (CDTR-PI). The adult case was a 37-year-old male: the day after the injury, he was aware of pharyngeal pain and dysphagia and recognized a retropharyngeal interpharyngeal abscess. <br>Even if the local findings of toothbrush trauma are mild, there is a possibility of subsequent serious complications.
