<p>We describe a weak azimuthal anchoring (WA) alignment technique to realize a low-power IPS LCD. This mode has a problem of slow response time of liquid crystal. By using the horizontal virtual boundary, we have achieved that the response time is less than 4ms in WA cell.</p>
